I had to hold his hand and make an "X" on the receipt line. He was crippled up.<br>The line was grumbling. When he got paid and we turned around, I called attention, right face and salute. I saluted the Marine, too. He straightened up a little and sort of waved his screwed up hand at his cover.<br>I held the men at attention until he walked off of our compound. Then I put them at ease and told them, "He holds the Medal of Honor. He will always go to the head of every line. He will always take the salute from everyone. He's a Marine, he got his the hard way."<br>The Army guys started cheering and whistling. I could see the Marine pull it up and march off with that Marine strut, bad leg and all.<br>Evil is evilnoreply@blogger.com
