By Dave Anderson:
This is more of a sense of the situation thing than a hard data post, but I have a relatively strong inkling that the Democrats may have hit a polling bottom in the past week or two, and things could be looking up.
Consider the following:
- Crist is going blown out in Florida's GOP primary, so a Rubio-Meek match-up is an uphill but winnable seat for Democrats instead of a lost cause if Crist was the nominee.
- Rasmussen is reporting the Illinois Senate race is being led by the Democrat for the first time in a while
- The GOP could not recruit a decent candidate for AR-1, an R+8 open seat that is being vacated by a Democrat.
- The 13 month Democratic circular firing squad on healthcare looks like it is coming to an end soon with something that can be touted as a win and creaets the 'repeal trap.'
- PA-12 Special Election did not attract a strong GOP candidate.
