By Dave Anderson:
Following up on yesterday's post on the casino downgrade, here is this week's data for revenue per machine per day at the Pittsburgh Rivers Casino. It is ugly at $132 per machine per day. The state projection was for $306 per machine per day, and the owners anticipated a touch more than $350 per machine per day.
The one critical qualifier is that the G-20 was here last week. I imagine that the casino was dead for at least Thursday and Friday, and would not be surprised to learn that floor traffic also cliff-dove on Wednesday and did not start to recover until Sunday. I expect next week's numbers to bounce back to trend and come in around $160 to $170 per machine per day.
