Commentary By Ron Beasley
I must admit that when my teenage son started playing songs by Queen I hated it. Not because it was bad but because it was being played by my teenage son. My Bad:
As old age creeps up on me this aging hippie realizes that Freddie Mercury and Brian May were producing some of the finest music ever and the above is the best example. Well I had a change of heart in time to morn the death of Freddie. But what happened to Brian May? He has his PhD in astrophysics and check out this great interview with Brian May by Terry Gross.
On 'Bohemian Rhapsody'
"This
is Freddie's great baby and, yes, we all contributed to the way it
developed in the studio, but really, it was so much constructed in his
head before he ever stopped in there. It's an amazing thing. ... An
amazing creation and quite unique."
Many people don't know Freddie was an Indian. He often claimed himself to be a "Persian" but that was smoke for the times that existed back then.

The interview was great. We don't appreciate how hard they worked to create sounds on a 24-track system we now take for granted with new technology. I learned a lot.
